Abracadabra – Tate Britain

Tate Britain

'Abracadabra' set out to define a new spirit in contemporary art. A 'common ground' for visitors and the art works was created by removing all the existing partition walls of the gallery. A bespoke dyed carpet was laid that allowed for visitors to sit on the floor to watch the numerous video installations. The design included a 5mx3m one-way mirror at the entrance that created an intentional feeling of unease. The exhibition was curated by Catherine Grenier and Catherine Kinley.
