The Heart – Wellcome Collection

Wellcome Collection

'The Heart' was the inaugural exhibition at the Wellcome Collection gallery. Curated by James Peto and Emily Jo Sargent, anotomical and medical information on the heart was presented within sections devoted to the cultural significance afforded the heart throughout history. The exhibition furniture included specially designed heart-shaped stools. The exterior of the building was fitted with red lights programmed to pulse in the rhythm of a heartbeat. The graphic design was by Nick Bell Design.
