Gagarin in Britain – British Council

British Council

'Gagarin in Britain', curated by Andrea Rose, coincided with the unveiling of the statue of Uri Gagarin, that now stands outside the Royal Observatory, Greenwich. Loans from the Russian Space Agency were displayed in conjunction with archive film and photographs. A billboard was built outside the British Council's headquarters to take a blow-up of a 1960’s Soviet space exploration poster. The project was designed in collaboration with Mark Thomson Design.
